Adam talks with British actor and comedian Lolly Adefope about working with Steve Buscemi and Daniel Radcliffe, her early forays into comedy at university, music, offensive language and whether she should watch The Crown (she really doesn’t want to but Adam tries to convince her to give it a go).

Also Adam’s dog Rosie spots a deer and runs off into the wood, yipping, giving Adam an opportunity to try out his new pet tracker. Exciting eh?

TECHNICAL NOTE - Apologies for the ‘roomy’ sound quality during my conversation with Lolly. This was due to the host (a terrible man) failing to actually turn the mics on and having to use the emergency dictaphone back up for the edit.

Thanks to Seamus Murphy Mitchell for production support and Matt Lamont for conversation editing.

Loved hearing Lolly as herself in your interview but I felt a bit eek about some of your chat in it too. I would never have you down for a mansplainer but your discussion about The Crown totally came off as this. You totally overrode Lolly’s perspective on the royal family without giving her credit for having a justified position on why she doesn’t want to watch. Sounds like small fry I know, but in this mean misogynistic racist world we live in, small exchanges like this count too. (I am a huge fan & this cOnes from a place of warmth not malice!)

A note about Comments

Hello Podcats and Blog friends,

I wanted to let you know that comments have been disabled on the blog and the app for the time being. This is not because of anyone posting anything abusive or anything like that, but just because I seldom get round to moderating the stuff that comes in as promptly as I should, and rather than irritate people who don’t understand why their comment hasn’t been posted, I think it’s easier if I just switch them off. Sorry about that, but time is scarce and I’m disappointed to discover I can’t do everything! And if you’re one of the people who submitted a comment and it hasn’t been posted - sincere apologies.

Best wishes
