EP.77 - TIM KEY

Adam & British comedian/poet/actor Tim Key enjoy a rambly conversation as they look at some art in London’s Courtauld Gallery.

This episode was sponsored by ART FUND, the national fundraising charity for art. Find out more by visiting Artfund.org/BUXTON

My friends at Art Fund believe that art can make you see, think, and feel differently. I know, that’s what I thought, but they really mean it. Through the National Art Pass – their growing membership of 139,000 – Art Fund have helped more people see more art. Members enjoy free and reduced price entry to hundreds of museums, galleries, and historic places across the UK. Most importantly, funds raised through the pass help Art Fund to support innovative curators and museums.

Hello Lord Buckminster, I just wanted to say how pleased I am that you used (mr bombastic) 'Telefantastic' in your amazing shaggy impersonation, my wife insists that it should be 'Totally fantastic'. She is clearly wrong, it would make no sense her way and you have proved it. Thank you.

Man: is this one of my favorites, albeit a sponsored ramblechat. Recently discovered the rare and eccentric Key through his appearance on 'Inside No. 9', listened to the 'Late Night Poetry Programme' and now I find out he's got quite the knowledge on Daniil Charms ( Charms lovin' lady here ) he totally stole the key to my Tim. See what I did there ? If any of you schmoozers out there can set me up with a 5 min. personal ramblechat with this delightful Key when he ever finds himself in Amsterdam, I'm totally up for it. I'd love to know what he thinks of the Charms' Diaries, I do not look like a sack of potatoes and I will buy him drink(s). As always loving the Buckles Man ! Rosie

What a joy. Can we have one with you and Tim spending a whole weekend together please?

I must ashamedly admit that I usually go for a person I know and love when choosing one of your podcasts and ignore the people I know nothing about. However, went for Tim Key today, a person about whom I know nothing, to soundtrack packing to move house.

What a joy! Real laughter always cracks me up and you too were bantering and making each other laugh in such an irresistible way. Great stuff Adam! Now, to check out all the other people I've missed out.

I've had the A&J stuff (Xfm and 6Music) on my pod for seven years or so and have gone through them about ten times over millions of dog walks and drives to work. I would never normally comment on a website but I want to express my thanks and love for your work. Knawwww :)

Wow! Is that you doing a Sleaford Mods impersonation Adam, or is that actually the Sleaford Mods?
If that's an impression it's absolutely spot on!

A note about Comments

Hello Podcats and Blog friends,

I wanted to let you know that comments have been disabled on the blog and the app for the time being. This is not because of anyone posting anything abusive or anything like that, but just because I seldom get round to moderating the stuff that comes in as promptly as I should, and rather than irritate people who don’t understand why their comment hasn’t been posted, I think it’s easier if I just switch them off. Sorry about that, but time is scarce and I’m disappointed to discover I can’t do everything! And if you’re one of the people who submitted a comment and it hasn’t been posted - sincere apologies.

Best wishes

Adam
